As many fellow curlies I spent decades not knowing how to properly look after my hair, and as soon as I had a full time job bought a pair of straighteners and proceeded to straighten almost daily for years, as expected my hair would get more and more damaged. I would then cut off the damage, but carry on doing the same… my hair got shorter, dryer and sadder.

I decided to brave it and see what embracing my natural curls could be like, and you know what? I learned so much and never looked back!

After a successful career in the corporate world, I decided to follow my dreams and train as a Curly Hair Specialist with the Curl Clinic in Leeds, who offer the first qualification of its kind in the UK.
